Incap Medical Appeal

Had my appeal hearing today, and to say i was nervous is an understatement!

Got there at 10:30am, along with Womble, and met my legal representative there as well.

Had a chat, then had to wait to be called in. I was shaking whilst waiting, and more so when called in.

There was a lawyer and doctor there to ask the questions, and to explain what was going on. Both nice people, plain talking, and i would say good at there job.
Was asked a few questions about my daily routine ( i dont have one) about how i sleep (badly) and what i liked to do with my free time.

Answered as best as i could, and didnt hold anything back.

It was a lot shorter than i expected, and then had to leave for the doctor and lawyer to discuss what they had heard, and to make a decision.

After a very short time, i was called back in, and told that my appeal had been successful, and that all benefits would be awarded me again.

So, there it is. What i told them, and i knew all along. I'm not fit for full time employment at this moment in time.

NOW......

This does not mean i wanna sit on my arse all day watching dvd's and playing on the internet.

What it does mean is that i can now get a damn sight more help, training and advise about a gradual return to work. I do believe that the system is flawed, as if i had lost, i would have had to sign on, be forced to take a job i dont want to do, and this would have started the whole process of depression, stress and all the other systems off again !

I dont feel good for winning my appeal, nor sad. At the moment all i feel is numb.

If it was not for Womble's help, support and belief in me, I would not have done half the things i have, nor got as far as i have.

So, to end on a positive note, Womble, thank you, for all you have done for a poor messed up Pikey xXx

Thats the only choice i have.

The reason for this post is that I've been having a bad day today. Feeling very shaky, not able to focus, and generally feeling very twitchy.

Now, im sure i put the drying out this morning on the Maiden, in the back garden, nothing strange there, as it was a nice sunny day :o)

As my head was well and truly fucked, i had a quick nap to try to sort it out. It didnt work, and so i was still a bit fuzzy. Then, it started to rain, so i thought i best bring in the drying...... It was gone !!

Now, i looked round the garden, checked the gates, yup, still locked, looked in the shed and the garage, nope, its gone !

Now I'm beginning to lose the plot even more, so i contact Womble on MSN, she's not sure where it was last, but says it'll turn up !

So, i therefore believe it's the work of the Pikey Pixies, and when i get the little buggers, i want all my stuff back, as my new Craghopper trousers are on there, along with my fave black shirt !

Wonder if sprinkling iron fillings around will thwart there damn magic.................

I'm gonna sit in the corner now and hug n rock myself, and maybe dribble a little...

So, what happened since my last post well, i'll break it down for ya.

Medical: Bad.

Crackhead neighbor: bad

Mates bike attempted theft: V.bad

Crackhead Neighbor attacking me with hammer: V V.bad !

Crackhead Neighbor lobbing Brick through window: Me have a nervous breakdown !

Police response: Waste of FUCKING time !

Womble coming over at 5am: V V Good !!

Moving out in about 5 hours: V.stressful, but also Good

Taking over Womble's house with all my junk: Not V.Good

Emergency appointment with Doctor: Bad, but got tranquilizers, so Good !

Letter from DWP saying im fit for work, all benefits stopped: V.V.Bad

Womble having to take me to A&E because i was suicidal, V.V.BAD !!!

Spending 5 hrs in A&E with Crisis Team: Not all bad, as got referral to Mental Health Team.

Seeing Doctor to explain what happened day before: Good, and got a sick note for 1 month.

Going for a walk in the woods with Womble: Excellent !!

Going to Boltons Frog parade on May Day: Damn good fun :oD

Having Grav and Howard Help me with Bike: Great to have mates !

Going out on mountain bike: I really need to get fit, but fun in the sun !!

So, there you have it, i've missed some bits out no doubt, but i think you get the general idea !!

Abnormal service will continue as and when i can ;o)

Oh fuck, here we go again :o(

Even though i have filled in the forms, given evidence from my shrink, and written to them, they still insist that i have a damn medical.

The last time i had one, it was horrid. The nurse/doctor didn't seem at all interested, was hardly taking any notes and was a waste a time.

Thankfully, The interview was recorded, and BOY did that come in handy.

NONE of the answers that the bitch had wrote down were what i said, and to make it worse, she had wrote answers to questions that she didn't even fucking ask !!

And so, i the space of 10 minutes, she decided my doctor was wrong, i was wrong and i was fit for work.

The next step was that ALL my benefit was stopped, i had nothing to live on, and was very nearly evicted from the hovel i was living in.

It was only because of Womble that i got through all this, bless her !

And now, it starts all over again.

Today i feel very humble.

I received a parcel today, and i had no idea what it was ! I didn't remember ordering anything of the shape or weight, but it had my name on it, so i opened it !

To say i was shocked is an understatement. Out came a wonderful hand crafted axe, complete with a quality leather mask ! I have wanted one of these since Feb this year, when i used one at a camp meet. Its a great little axe, punches way above its weight, and its quality is second to none.

So, a HUGE thank you to "Mr Axe" (not his real name) you know who you are !!

If you have raised kids (or been one), and gone through the pet syndrome, including toilet flush burials for dead goldfish, the story below will have you laughing out loud!

Overview: I had to take my son's lizard to the vet.
Here's what happened:

Just after dinner one night, my son came up to tell me there was "something wrong" with one of the two lizards he holds prisoner in his room.

"He's just lying there looking sick," he told me. "I'm serious, Dad. Can you help?"

I put my best lizard-healer expression on my face and followed him into his bedroom. One of the little lizards was indeed lying on his back, looking stressed. I immediately knew what to do.

"Honey," I called, "come look at the lizard!"

"Oh, my gosh!" my wife exclaimed. "She's having babies."

"What?" my son demanded. "But their names are Bert and Ernie, Mom!"

I was equally outraged.

"Hey, how can that be? I thought we said we didn't want them to reproduce," I said accusingly to my wife.

"Well, what do you want me to do, post a sign in their cage?" she inquired (I think she actually said this sarcastically!).

"No, but you were supposed to get two boys!" I reminded her, (in my most loving, calm, sweet voice, while gritting my teeth).

"Yeah, Bert and Ernie!" my son agreed.

"Well, it's just a little hard to tell on some guys, you know," she informed me (Again with the sarcasm!).

By now the rest of the family had gathered to see what was going on. I shrugged, deciding to make the best of it.

"Kids, this is going to be a wondrous experience," I announced. "We're about to witness the miracle of birth."

"Oh, gross!" they shrieked.

"Well, isn't THAT just great? What are we going to do with a litter of tiny
little lizard babies?" my wife wanted to know.

We peered at the patient. After much struggling, what looked like a tiny foot would appear briefly, vanishing a scant second later.

"We don't appear to be making much progress," I noted. "It's breech," my wife whispered, horrified.

"Do something, Dad!" my son urged.

"Okay, okay." Squeamishly, I reached in and grabbed the foot when it next appeared, giving it a gentle tug. It disappeared. I tried several more times with the same results.

"Should I call 911?" my eldest daughter wanted to know. "Maybe they could talk us through the trauma." (You see a pattern here with the females in my house?)

"Let's get Ernie to the vet," I said grimly. We drove to the vet with my son holding the cage in his lap. "Breathe, Ernie, breathe," he urged.

"I don't think lizards do Lamaze," his mother noted to him. (Women can be
so cruel to their own young. I mean what she does to me is one thing, but this boy is of her womb, for God's sake.).

The vet took Ernie back to the examining room and peered at the little animal through a magnifying glass.

"What do you think, Doc, a C-section?" I suggested scientifically.

"Oh, very interesting," he murmured. "Mr. and Mrs. Cameron, may I speak to you privately for a moment?"

I gulped, nodding for my son to step outside.

"Is Ernie going to be okay?" my wife asked.

"Oh, perfectly," the vet assured us. "This lizard is not in labour. In fact, that isn't EVER going to happen . . . Ernie is a boy. You see, Ernie is a young male. And occasionally, as they come into maturity, like most male species, they um . . . um . . . masturbate. Just the way he did, lying on his back."
He blushed, glancing at my wife.

We were silent, absorbing this.

"So, Ernie's just . . . just . . . excited," my wife offered.

"Exactly," the vet replied, relieved that we understood.

More silence. Then my vicious, cruel wife started to giggle. And giggle. And then even laugh loudly.

"What's so funny?" I demanded, knowing, but not believing that the woman I
married would commit the upcoming affront to my flawless manliness.

Tears were now running down her face. "It's just . . . that . . . I'm picturing you pulling on its . . . its . . . teeny little . . ." She gasped for more air to bellow in laughter once more.

"That's enough," I warned. We thanked the vet and hurriedly bundled the lizard and our son back into the car. He was glad everything was going to be okay.

"I know Ernie's really thankful for what you did, Dad," he told me.

"Oh, you have NO idea," my wife agreed, collapsing with laughter.

Two lizards: $140.

Really don't like crowds again, dunno why, i was fine for ages, but now it's back. I know it's only gonna be a temporary blip, and it will pass, but it dont half piss me me off at times !

Just try to think, your in a shop, queuing to pay for your goods, and suddenly you just wanna run out of there ! Thats what it's like, not fun, oh, and you sweat a lot as well. Not nce in the hot weather that we seem to have again !

As some of you may know, i used to train in, and teach the martial arts..... I havent trained now for about three years, due to ill health, having to move, severe cash flow problems etc etc. Well, i decided to look into training again, and found what i thought was a really nice place, applied for the info pack and had a very nice call from them to arrange a visit and a chat :o)

Well, i went there this evening, very nice gym, clean, bright, tidy etc friendly staff, so on the whole, a great first impression ! Filled in a basic contact form, normal name, address etc.

Then met the chief instructor, nice bloke, had the tour and went into the office for a chat. Was going great until he asked where i work.......

I'm on the long term sick, as i have mental health problems, so i told him so, to which he replied " How are you going to afford the fee's? " I then informed him that no-one had told me the fee's so i don't know !

Thats when it all went wrong for me, as it is, and i quote " £249 joining fee, and then it's £49 pcm for the basic entry level training" OMFG !!! How fucking much :oO

Needless to say, i wont be training there...

So, i'm now very pissed off, and i think im going to sulk for awhile, and i have a wicked headache :o(

Time to keep looking, or beer, i dunno.....

Once more, the powers that be are going to mass medicate the population.

Now, it's going to be folic acid in the bread and flour, just becase some females dont have a healthy diet, and risk damage to there unborn child, we all have to be nice people and take our medication. WTF is wrong with this bloody country ?! Are we no longer allowed to think for ourselves any more ? Do we have no say in what we wish to place in our bodies any more ? Im an adult, and i wish to make my own choices, thanks very much !!
What they need to do is to teach common sense again, stop being so bloody worried about upseting people, and grow a fucking backbone again !!

Its the masses getting drugged because of the few, i wonder how much a loaf will cost soon then, as you can bet there gonna increase the price, and all bakerys will have to get the storage, equipment, training, goverment inspection etc etc, so who's gonna pay ? Us, that who.... AGAIN !!

This is my new toy !! Its a GT750, set up for touring with the fairing and panniers, and its done less that 40,000 miles !! Its had 2 owners from new, so i'm the third, but it's just a shame one of them was a butcher when it came to the wiring ! It look's like spaggetti under there :o| Thankfully a mate's a sparkey, so its gonna have a very good looking over, and hopefully a tidy up as well.
I must also say HUGE thanks to Womble and Grav, without them, i would not have got the bike, or got it home, as after one mile, it decided to die on me, but Grav got it going again.. to read more on this epic tale click here.

Im trying to get onto a course with the Open University, nothing too hard about that.
As im not woking, i have to get the forms rubber stamped to say im in reciept of benifits, should'nt be too hard.... WRONG !!!

I went down to the offices in Coventry, Cofa Court, yesterday, with all my forms, to get them stamped. I was then told that i have to phone Cannock, to get an oppointment, to see someone in Coventry !!

So, i used the free phones in the Cov office, to try to call Cannock, who them switched the phones off !!

Just tred to call Coventry again now, it was engaged for 20 mins, then i got through to a human (i think), who told me i had to call another number !!

So, another 5 mins of trying, before i get another (alleged) human on the phone. This voice then says i have to post ALL my forms to Cannock, to get them stamped, as they no longer do this in Coventry !!

I mean, WTF is the point in spending thousands of pounds on a full referb of the building, filling it full of staff, when they carnt do a sodding thing to help you !!

I have enought issues asking for help as it is, without having to be made to jump through frigging hoops like my arse was on fire !!

Im now gonna miss the start date that i wanted for the course, and i just feel like giving up on the whole damn thing.

You could choose to walk through, but if you didnt want to, refused, or turned around and walked the other way, you was stopped, arrested and searched any way !! What part of personall choice was that then ?!

I can just see the USofA soon saying that if you havent been scanned, processed, signed up to be stip searched and kiss goverment arse, you wont be allowed to fly there.

I HATE the way they are now introducing all these new systems, that are supposed to make it safer for all of us, whilst helping to prevent the war on terror. The biggest terrorist in the world lives in a big White House !! What the fuck has we got to do, to be safe again ?!

I dont have the answers, im just sicck and fucking tired of being told how i HAVE to live my life.

Im a bloody adult, i should have the freedom to choose where i go, how i travel, what i carry and also what i wish to eat, smoke if i wish, be able to say what i want, after all im ENGLISH, This is ENGLAND and i used to be sooo proud of MY country.

The Death of Common Sense

OBITUARY

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend
by the name of Common Sense
who has been with us for many years.

No one knows for sure how old he was
since his birth records were long ago lost
in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated
such value lessons as knowing when to come
in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm and
that life isn't always fair.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies
don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting
strategies (adults, not kids, are in charge).

His health began to rapidly deteriorate when well
intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.
Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment
for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for
using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for
reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
It declined even further when schools were
required to get parental consent to administer aspirin
to a student; but, could not inform the parents when a
student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Finally, Common Sense lost the will to live as
the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches
became businesses; and criminals received
better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense finally gave up the ghost after a
woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of
coffee was hot, she spilled a bit in her lap, and was
awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his
parents, Truth and Trust, his wife, Discretion; his
daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.
He is survived by two stepbrothers; My Rights
and Ima Whiner.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was
gone. If you still know him please tell others about his passing,
if not join the majority and do nothing.

Club Heresy is putting on a gig on 1 December, and for a measly £12 you get to see Crüxshadows and Trauma Pet. Bargain! Rumour has it that there's a bit of a party afterwards too...
The gig was originally scheduled to be at Edwards No. 8 in Birmingham, but some bugger burnt the place down, so it'll now be held at The Crew in Nuneaton. Not a venue I know, but what the hell, you go to see the bands, not the venue!

Buy a ticket and help keep Rob in schnapps :o)

Got hit by a taxi today, rear shunt, and im in pain :o(

Dave and Myself both have whiplash, and bruises where the seatbelts worked.

Dave's motor has damage to the boot id, as it wont lock anymore, and the bumper is buggered.

The taxi however, took a lot more damage. Dave's motor has a towball ;o)

So, im pissed off, in pain, and hurting.... but not as much as the taxi driver, how is now out of work, as his cab is fucked LMAO !!

Serves the blind twat right for not looking at the road.

Road rage mishap

A California man who picked a fight with a group of US bikers was run over by his own car.

Richard Brooks, 50, who police say had been drinking, began waving a pool cue at the bikers and swerving towards them as he drove down a highway in Contra Costa County.

Eventually he got out of the car to confront the bikers on foot, but before he could attack them he was run over by his own vehicle, which he had left in gear. The man escaped with cuts and scratches, but could face charges of assault with a deadly weapon and drunken driving.

Bloke in a chair, middle of crossroads, keeps putting gun under his chin, and dropping his hand towards the floor....

What it dont show you afterwards, is that the gun cracked in two bits, and the guy congratulated the sniper on a great shot !

Life's been kicking me in the nuts again, DWP stopped my benifit, but that seems to have been mostly sorted now, thanks to my great P.A. :o)

Bike's still in bits, and will be for quite some time, so i cancelled insurance, as i can put that money to better use...

Still not heard anything with regards to my CBT course, but the waiting list is supposed to be very long, still, it's been six months now !!

Im also down to my last two cans of beer, then im not sure when im buying anymore, as i really need to buy food, not junk like crisps, snacks, and more stuff from ebay !!

So, not quite a happy bunnie, but getting better slowly :o)

unless your've been under a rock all day, you will know what has happened, and that you can now only take you bits onto the plane in a clear, plastic bag.

Me mates off to Canada now, and has to take his inhaler with him. Fair enought, but how are they gonna test it ? Make him take some, when he dont need it ? Now, im no doctor, but wont that be a bad thing for him ?

Started off with a snapped clutch cable, which wasent too bad, as i had an emergency kit, but it took an hour to fix, as it was too damn hot to touch anything !!

Then, it lost power, and was running on three cylinders, so limped it to the campsite.

Had a fun 1st night, upsetting most of the 'normal' people who were camping in tents bigger than some rooms i've lived in !!

Checked all the HT leads in the morning, found the loose one, so fixed it :o)

Went to start up the bike, and i didnt work. It helps if you put the HT leads back onto the plugs !! Did that, hit the start button, and one almighty BANG later, ride off the site, after making very sure every kid and adult was VERY awake ;op

About five miles from the site for the bushmoot, it happens......

CRUNCH, Clatter clatter BANG SQQQQQQQQUUUUEEEAAALLLLLLL !!!!!!

OH FFS !!! Stop at side of road, send Mad Dave to catch Womble, while i sit there and sulk :o(

They head off to site, to unload gear, and work out a plan.

After a friendly local had fed me biscuits and a ice cold can of pop, Womble arribes back, and tows me to site !!

A novel experiance, and one that turned me into a jellyfish !! Not because of Womble's riding, it was just soooo damn strange :o)

After that, parked up on site, had a shot of good scotch , and had a fine weekend :oD

When trying to fix the zorst on me bike yesterday, i got a very unwelcome sight, the front engine mount has just shattered :o(

Dont know how it happened, but its not nice, and not easy to fix either.

But, thanks to friends in the 100% biker forum, at least now i have some options :o)

Before a heatwave

Ensure you have plenty of cold fluids available.

During a heatwave

Try to keep your house cool, closing blinds or curtains can help.
At night, keep your sleeping area well ventilated. Night cooling is important as it allows the body to recuperate.
Try to stay cool by taking cool showers or baths and/or sprinkle yourself several times a day with cold water.
Avoid too much exercise, which can cause heat exhaustion or heat stroke, and can even be fatal. Watch for signs of heat stress — an early sign is fatigue.
Drink plenty of fluids, but not alcohol, which dehydrates the body.
Try to eat as you normally would. Not eating properly may exacerbate health-related problems.
If driving, keep your vehicle well ventilated to avoid drowsiness. Take plenty of water with you and have regular rest breaks.
If you have elderly neighbours who may be at risk during a heatwave, try to visit them daily.
If you do go out, try and avoid the hottest part of the day (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and seek shade where possible. Avoid being in the sun for long stretches.

Check you have appropriate sun cream for your particular type of skin.

During sunny weather

The UV index (the strength of the sun) can be high at many times of the year — it doesn't have to be hot. The UV index can be strong through cloud even when the sun isn't directly shining.
If you go out, wear lightweight, light-coloured clothing, high factor sunscreen and a wide-brimmed hat.
Avoid being in the sun for long stretches.
Reapply an appropriate factor sun cream at regular intervals during the day.

Do not leave children or animals in parked cars. Even on cool days, strong sunshine can make car interiors very hot.

As it says, its been a busy couple of weeks !

Been to the Farmyard Party, had a great time, did the run out, and got the badge for it ! Also got a good pic of a rabbit, but im waiting for Womble to send it to me, and then it will apper here :o)

Friends of mine got Handfasted on Weds, which is a Pagan Marrage ceromony, which was a bit different, but good to be a part of, and of course, the pub afterwards was a good laff as well :oD

Also went to a biker wedding on Sat eve as well, great people, good tunes, a feast of food, and a nutter playing with fire as well !! Top night all round

The Sunday after, there was a charity day at a biker pub as well, with head shaving, biker babe bike wash, BBQ, face painting, and of corse, more beer. Woody also had his chest waxed for the charity as well, and yes, it did look bloody painfull !!

After the charity do, Womble and meself did a run over and passed the Cat and Fiddle, great roads, great scenery, and damn good company :o)
